As a target oriented emerging start-up, Mecha is dedicated to becoming a key R&D partner to top-tier aerospace manufacturers, multidisciplinary innovators and developers. Embodying the core aspects of a lean technology start-up, and built on over 12 years of hands on expertise, Mecha is strengthened by ongoing in house research and places particular emphasis on the validated digital and physical development of next generation lightweight airframes and components, where the development of lightweight lattice structures plays a pivotal role in advancing sustainable and clean aviation.

Heritage & Milestones
With over three years of residency at the advanced composites and engineering centre a part of Advanced Manufacturing Innovation Centre of Queen`s University Belfast where the historical milestones of the engineering in the United Kingdom have been achieved where the test, design and manufacturing services of composite wing development of single aisle A220 aircraft, Global 7000 and 8000 series and next generation wing technologies pursued which also known as Short Brothers legacy and structural dynamics and impact dynamics expertise at a top-tier airframe supplier for a supersonic trainer jet which is now in raising demand within the EU, after leading and conducting more than 30 R&D projects at a high-impact research and development start-up for well-known international and domestic clients in aerospace, defence, energy, automotive and naval & maritime industries; foundational experiences set a strong launchpad for the formation of Mecha in early 2022.
The business plan and ideation to conceptual design progression of Mecha has been shortlisted and selected as one of the promising start-ups at the ConceptionX programme in London, finalist at the Quest programme of Queen`s University and finalist at the Engineers in Business competition which lead to numerous pitching series including at the Royal Academy of Engineering Prince Philip House, Catalyst, Mandela Hall after overall mentorship of Lauren Tack Stewart, Karl Devlin for business management, Andrew White in intellectual property management and law, Carlos Latcham for networking, Richard Anson for initiation, sessions, Aoife McNabb for building client connections, Kat Maguire and Judith Maguire building the foundation of TTO edge for potential university & start-up collaborative R&D projects, Laura McGirr for progression monitoring, Declan Murtagh and Sven Molner for marketing and Camilla Long for public speaking to support the leadership of a lean start-up for core aspects since 2023 until the business` first official steps strengthen the foundation of its future plans.
